Where You Started Is Where You Ended Up
it’s not a circle, it’s a point
And just like that, they were back where they started. Maybe with more insights and despair, and perhaps a better understanding of where was here and where here had been all along.
But something wasn’t just empty lessons and pain: somehow things were different, or possibilities were. The thinnest sliver, almost so small you could miss it entirely if you let yourself, of something new might be glimmering. Too fragile to look at directly and persist, but it flickers, there, in the side of your vision when you’re not gazing directly.
And maybe the next step, the next world, was available if only one could find calm, and patience and almost like a predator hold still and poised to read the wind’s sounds and scents; we just have to let it grow, nurture it without holding it, feed it without moving, and then, only then and thinly adjacent to our conscious thoughts, can we move again and truly shift to another where.
